Working Principle
The gypsum tumble dryer is comprised of several components including a hot blast stove, belt feeder, tumble dryer, belt feeder, induced draft fan, cyclone dust collector, bag filter (or wet dust collector), and operation control system. This equipment adopts a fair current (or countercurrent) drying process.
The working principle of the equipment is as follows: the wet materials enter the drying drum and are spitted into the following working areas. First, the material guiding zone is where plaster comes into contact with high-temperature hot air to rapidly evaporate moisture. The material is then transferred to the next working area under the splicing while in a large lifting flight angle.
Second, the copy board area is where the gypsum is dropped and picked up by the lifting flight, forming a material curtain state. During this stage, the material comes into full contact with hot air and the moisture in the plaster is quickly evaporated and stripped into water vapor. The induced draft fan then draws away the water vapor, achieving the purpose of gypsum drying. The gypsum is dried in this zone to a loose state with moisture below 5-10% (or lower) after the material undergoes heat exchange and reaches the required moisture state.
Finally, the material enters the discharge zone, which does not have a copy board roller. The material slides in this zone towards the discharge port to complete the entire drying process.
